Dr Goodman Retirement

Posted on:

After nearly 10 years as a partner at Nunwell Surgery Dr Goodman is retiring at the end of November 2024.  Dr Goodman has been a loyal and dedicated GP with us and has worked for the NHS for 40 years!  She has been an excellent colleague and her expertise, breadth of knowledge and experience will be greatly missed.  Dr Goodman is immensely popular with her patients and has provided highly skilled and compassionate care to everyone she has looked after.  All of us at the surgery and her patients will sorely miss her and wish her a very happy retirement!

If you would like to leave a message for Dr Goodman to commemorate her retirement, there is a message book with our reception team at the surgery – please ask if you like to sign this.

For a few months you may continue to see Dr Goodman at the surgery as she will be working as a short term locum covering for Dr Leach who is going on maternity leave in January 2025.  Dr Goodman will be providing only emergency non pre-bookable appointments for two days a week.

We are pleased to say that we have been able to recruit a permanent replacement for Dr Goodman.  Dr Angela Lee will be starting at the surgery in November 2024 and is a very experienced GP with a wide range of skills. We very much look forward to welcoming her to Nunwell!

Any patients who were previously allocated to Dr Goodman have now been transferred to Dr Lee. Whilst Dr Lee will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to these patients, this does not prevent them from seeing another GP at the practice.
