2019 Flu Clinics

Once again this year, our walk-in flu clinics will be held at

Queen Elizabeth High School

DATE

Surnames

Saturday 28th September 2019

Surnames

L - Z

Saturday 5th October 2019

Surnames

A - K

8am – 1pm

Please come along during the times above if you would like to have your flu vaccination. It will also be important that you are dressed appropriately so that your vaccination can be given without having to undress as it will be an open hall rather than in our consulting rooms.

The timing of these clinics is such that you should acquire optimum cover against influenza in time for the usual flu season.

In order to prevent blocking of routine appointments during the week, we will NOT be holding walk-in clinics at the surgery – if you would like your flu vaccination, please attend the appropriate walk-in clinic at QEHS.

Who’s eligible for a flu vaccine?

  • Patients aged 18-64 in a clinical at-risk group. If you are unsure – please contact the surgery beforehand to check. Statistically, this age group is more likely to require hospital admission from contracting the influenza virus due to poor uptake of the vaccination.
  • ALL patients aged 65 and over

Patients under 18 should not attend this clinic but will receive a letter when the appropriate vaccines arrive.
